Hi there, everybody! I’m Lola, and you can call me absolutely anything. I’m a 20-year-old (21 this Wednesday!) Physics student living sort of between Washington, D.C. and New York, though I’m sort of from Swedenland and a bunch of other places. It it complicated, yo.

But! I bring you candy in the form of Hit Witch Helen "Jarvey" Jarvinen, who has a well-deserved reputation for being an abrasive and insubordinate crazy person who uses muggle guns, sets things on fire, and will always, always say or do something outrageously inappropriate--like that time she slugged her boss in the jaw, or that time she got kicked out of school, etc., etc. She definitely should have been fired a long time ago, but since the DMLE needs everyone it can get during wartime, Jarvey's getting one last chance here in NYC (after thoroughly screwing up D.C. and San Francisco). Still, though, she's awfully good at what she was trained for, which is taking down the bad guys and making sure they don't get back up. It's the rest of her life that's the problem. There's lots more about her here, and I'm super pleased to be playing her with you all! Hit me with all the plots.

You can get me  at my cdj [info]nearluminous , or on AIM as lolalikeswhales. This is exciting! Yay! Woo!

Hi guys!! My name is Cara~ I'm an English teacher currently chillin' in Korea for the next year. Remember to eat kimchi for EVERY meal. Always. I'm in the throws of writing out monthly report cards right now, but I figured I should come up with some sort of introduction for myself. /o\

I'm bringing you Locrine Merriweather, a 23-year-old preservationist who is perfectly wishy-washy in every way. He's friendly with an inability to say no to just about anyone. So, you have an assignment you don't want to do? Dump it on him. You know you want to. The good thing is he's at least good at what he does. He attended the Salem Wizards' Institute and then did something of an apprenticeship in Europe for a few years. Aaaand I'm sure there's something more I could tell you, but my brain is half-dead at the moment, so I will direct you to his profile!

I'm looking forward to playing with everyone! If anyone wants to plot and stuff, feel free to bug me via email, PM, IM, etc. any time.

I have no awesomesauce gifs to offer! But please love me anyways! I'm Kathryn, boring public policy guru by day, ardent karaoke singer and happy hour fiend by night. I've been out of the HP fandom for awhile now, but this game was simply too good to pass up. I'm so intrigued by everyone's characters, and really enjoying reading all the profiles. Plus the setting can't be beat!

So yes, this is Evelyn Bliss an attention-grabbing, headband-wearing Auror who would see herself as a fabulous Americanized Emma Peel if only it were 1964 instead of 1959. If sheer confidence were the only factor, she would indeed be the Best Auror to Ever Hold a Wand! But it doesn't and she isn't, although she is quick and inventive and always experimenting with some new spell or other. She turns in paperwork late, always wants the most glamorous and challenging of assignments, and plies everyone with martinis at every opportunity. In short, she is likely something of a polarizing figure at work, although she is utterly convinced of her own charms.

I would love backstory with all of you, or just to bounce around ideas for future plots. Hit me up!

LATE INTRO IS LATE!!

O hay lovelies, it's Jadis--so over being cockrp blocked by working and finally gettin her shit together OSNAP.

CORDULA GRAILE

Cordula is the HBIC of the Department of Mysteries, with extra emphasis on the bitch if you have penis. She's sixty years old and has been working in the department for longer than some of you have been alive--someone get this woman some mthr fckn coffee. She's an alumni of Salem Witches Institute, attended a high learning institute called LeForestier Wizarding Academy where she studied history and magical archaeology, worked in a museum in France for a few years, before returning to England and taking a throne job in the MoM.

She's a blunt hard ass with a love of chess, fur coats, snow globes, and her bonsai trees. Probably popularly know for her intimidating fashion sense, her even more intimidating stare, and for her public verbal filleting of anyone who disrespects her department employees. You can rest assured that Cordula Graile is judging you. Always. And openly.

Hey! I'm Jessica, as many of you already know, and I'm way too excited for this game to finally be open.

I'm bringing you all one Gertrude Graves. Gertie is 23, and she works in the secretarial division. She moved to New York from Missouri about nine months ago, but she's only been with the secretarial office for three. Even though she has lived in the city for nearly a year, she still gets lost when trying to navigate the subway, but she still prefers it to magical methods of transportation. Gertie blames her hatred of magical transportation on the fact that she was raised as a muggle despite having a fullblooded wizard for a father. She's forgetful, so she leaves notes everywhere. And even though Gertie isn't great at her job, she's so happy to have it, and she tries her absolute hardest at it.

So, yes. That's her. Now give me all the plots!

I haven't done one of these in so long so this is really weird so bear with me

Hello hello! My name is Madeline, and happy start of the game! Those of you that don't know me, I'm a culinary student at what I like to call Culinary Hogwarts, and writing keeps me sane when I'm not surrounded by fattening food and chef whites. I am also the "mod" of the game, with lots of help and dumb questions thrown about the place, so if you have any questions or anything at all just drop me a line! My AIM is getmeacampari, or PM me, and I'll work on getting a player directory up soon!

As for my character, this is your Head Auror, Ambrose Mercier. 35 years old, graduated from Salem Wizard's Institute in 1943, born in New Iberia, Louisiana, on his family's ancestral plantation grounds. He turned his back on his upbringing once he got to the Institute and was devoted to proving himself as a strong and capable Auror, and more or less, he got what he wanted. At a price, though. He used to be fun-loving and the life of the party, and now he tries very hard to stifle it and put his work for the Department first and foremost. He buys into the threats to the country, and almost takes it on as his personal duty to keep it safe. Nothing means more to him than the job, and he won't spare your feelings in reminding you of that.

As for plots and all, anything, really! He's been in the DMLE for a very long time, so you'll probably have heard of him. Even if you're not in the DMLE, you'll probably have heard of him, or seen him in the papers, as the figurehead of the American DMLE, fighting terror threats and keeping the country safe and all that crap. You may have nicknames for him, you might know his bad habits, you might remember him when he wasn't such a hardass back before the promotion, and you might also know how he gets when he actually does let loose - or his bad behavior at Christmas parties.

I look forward to playing with all of you, and have fun!

Sooooo the game is starting tomorrow so I figured I'd be the first one to say HI because I'm over eager and more than a little brain dead at the moment. My name is Sarah and a few of you know me and some of you don't. I've sold my soul to Academia and have regrets often, play a variety of characters, and last played at [info]roadmaps. In my over zealousness I joined with two characters right off the bat.

The fist one is Stefanie "Stevie" Laurel she is twenty-eight, almost twenty-nine, and the head of Research at the Magical Library. Librarian by education and trade (she got her Masters in muggle and magical librarianship) she has meandered her way all the way through the library positions (including one very unfortunate stint as a children's librarian. Eventually the children's library car was lit on fire. Investigation is still going on about that). Currently she practically lives at the library (sleeping in the shelf above PE1599.F83--hehe Library joke) and likes to make the DMILE's life a living hell by "offering her expertise" and all around just sort of getting in the way most likely. Oh! She is also half-blood and went to Salem Institute--so give me all your plots.

Speaking of plots info about what you might find at the Library is here

My second character is Charles Whittaker aka Charlie. He's a socially awkward, 30 year old, full blooded hitwizard who may or may not be "using excessive force" a bit too much. He has three brothers, two of which may be in play soon--his squib twin Alan and his self-sufficient younger brother Jess. (His older brother is Joseph but no1curr about Joseph) Pretty much the only thing he's good for other than blunt-force trauma spells is nonmagical disguise (the magical part of that he'd need assistance with) which he picked up in the attempt to make his application packet look much more interesting (he did not realize the suggestion was a joke). He also may be notorious for fainting at the sight of large quantities of blood. Please give me all your plots but do recognize he is a bit of a misogynistic prick.

Now that I've broken the silence I hope you all start chattering over here because its just about time to play.
